Make your Perfex CRM fit the way your business works. Unity Infoway can assess your existing installation and define practical changes to workflows, custom fields, modules, customer-facing screens, documents and reporting.
Start with configuration where it solves the problem. Use custom development where your process needs more, with explicit decisions about compatibility, testing and ongoing maintenance rather than a promise that every future update will be effortless.
Extra spreadsheets and manual handovers often point to a process gap. Identify the gap first, then decide whether configuration or development is justified.
Bring agreed fields and related records into the workflow so staff do not have to reconcile separate lists for each customer or project.
Define who reviews a request, what information they need and how the result becomes visible to the next person.
Specify the operational questions and source fields before adding dashboards, filters or custom report outputs.
Inventory previous changes and third-party modules so compatibility checks become part of release planning rather than an afterthought.

Treat the current installation as a working business system. Review dependencies, test changes away from production and agree the release responsibilities.
Identify version, modules, custom changes, hosting constraints and current pain points.
Document actors, fields, permissions, exceptions and the intended outcome.
Compare configuration, supported extension points and custom module development.
Develop against an agreed environment with representative, appropriately protected test data.
Check permissions, outputs, integrations and regression risks with nominated users.
Agree backups, rollback, deployment steps and future compatibility responsibilities.
Each item below is a development or configuration option. Availability depends on your Perfex version,
third-party extensions and approved requirements.
Add relevant fields, labels and record organization where existing configuration supports the requirement.
Build business-specific entities and screens when standard records cannot represent the process.
Define request states, approvers, permissions and notifications for agreed business events.
Adapt selected client-area screens, navigation or self-service actions to your operating model.
Customize invoice, proposal or other agreed document presentation and required fields.
Create decision-focused summaries using validated data definitions and access permissions.
Customization is most useful when you can describe the missing action, the person responsible and
the expected result. It should not turn every unrelated system requirement into a CRM feature.
Improve a known workflow without replacing the complete installation.
Connect client work, internal approvals and operational reporting.
Reduce repeated data entry through carefully scoped data exchange.
Document and assess inherited modifications before further development.

Perfex documents modules and hooks as extension mechanisms, but custom code still needs maintenance when the platform changes. Prefer supported approaches where feasible and test the actual installation. For broader portals or workflows, compare custom web development rather than forcing every requirement into Perfex. Discuss ongoing maintenance before relying on a business-critical extension.
A valid Perfex licence and any required third-party licences remain separate from development work. Unity Infoway is presented here as an independent service provider, not as an official Perfex partner or the owner of the underlying platform.
Use a written scope and testable acceptance criteria for every change. Our quality assurance process provides a basis for discussing functional checks and release validation; the exact coverage belongs in your project agreement.

WhatsApp chatbot and automation – Assess an approved messaging integration where your use case is
eligible.

Configuration is appropriate when standard fields and settings meet the requirement. A module becomes relevant when you need new records, screens or behaviour. The assessment should compare both options before approving code that adds long-term maintenance responsibility.
No developer should guarantee compatibility with every future release. Perfex provides extension mechanisms, but platform changes can still require module updates. Inventory dependencies, test upgrades in staging and agree who maintains custom and third-party code.
An integration can be assessed where an authorized API, connector or import route exists. Do not assume every required endpoint is native to your installation. Confirm field mapping, authentication, sync direction, failure handling and any additional licence or provider cost.
Selected templates and client-area workflows can be reviewed for customization. Share examples and
required fields, including multi-language or print requirements. The implementation method and impact
on updates depend on the installed version and the extent of the change.
Migration can be scoped after reviewing source files or authorized exports. Confirm supported entities, field mappings, attachments and duplicate rules. A trial import and reconciliation are important before moving approved production records
The underlying Perfex and third-party software remain subject to their respective licences. Ownership, delivery and reuse rights for newly developed code must be stated in the agreement. Customization does not automatically transfer rights to the underlying CRM.
Support coverage should be specified separately from the initial change. Define defect support, upgrade testing, third-party module issues, hosting responsibility and response expectations. Future enhancements or platform compatibility changes may require additional work.
Estimation depends on the requirement, installation condition, modules, integration complexity and test coverage. Share your version, module list and examples of the desired workflow. An installation review may be needed before a reliable fixed scope can be offered.
